About Me
I am a studio potter based in England, creating handcrafted ceramics that blend traditional techniques with a contemporary, experimental approach. With Italian and Chinese heritage, I draw from diverse pottery traditions.
Trained in Italy, I refined my skills through an apprenticeship in the UK. My practice is rooted in wabi-sabi—embracing natural textures, transience, and the balance between control and spontaneity. My forms range from simple and refined to gesturally altered pieces.
My work is closely tied to the materials I gather and research. I experiment with wild clay, rocks, and ash, developing glazes that highlight their unique character. Though I fire in an electric kiln, I take inspiration from wood-fired Bizen pottery, exploring earthy tones, unglazed surfaces, and rich textures.
I create in small batches, prioritising a thoughtful approach. Each piece carries the traces of its making—the marks of the hand, the fluidity of a carved gesture, or the subtle depth of a glaze.
Through my work, I invite people to connect with objects and the landscapes they come from.
